Chemical Peels in Cambridge
Life, sun exposure, and ageing can leave skin looking tired, uneven, and textured. You might notice:
- Fine lines and early wrinkles
- Sun spots, pigmentation, or acne scarring
- Congestion or breakouts
- Dullness and rough texture
A chemical peel removes the build-up of dead skin cells and stimulates your skin’s natural renewal process. The result? A smoother surface, more even tone, and that healthy, luminous glow that’s hard to fake with makeup.
Chemical peels are one of the most effective, clinically recognised ways to:
- Exfoliate and renew the skin’s surface
- Improve texture, tone, and radiance
- Reduce fine lines and early signs of ageing
- Target acne, congestion, and enlarged pores
- Minimise pigmentation and uneven skin tone
They work by applying a specialist solution to the skin, which loosens and removes the upper layer of dead cells, encouraging the growth of new, healthier skin cells.
After your peel, you’ll enjoy 15 minutes under the Dermalux Flex MD LED Light Therapy, which soothes skin, reduces redness, and enhances the treatment’s regenerative effects.

Ready to get started?
Most clients feel mild tingling or warmth for a few minutes. BioRePeel is virtually painless.
These are superficial-depth peels, so most clients do not experience heavy peeling. However, it’s normal for some people to notice mild dryness or light flaking in the days after treatment as the skin renews. This is part of the natural exfoliation process and usually settles quickly.
You’ll see improvement after one session, but a course (usually 4–6 treatments) gives the best results.
We recommend waiting 24 hours before applying makeup.
Follow the following advice for best results:
- Do not use sunbeds in the 2 weeks before your treatment.
- 48hrs before your appointment discontinue skincare with active anti-ageing ingredients e.g. retinol as these increase skin sensitivity.
- 24hrs before your appointment avoid shaving or waxing the area to be treated.
- If you are susceptible to cold sores taking a course of Acyclovir prior to your treatment can help prevent a breakout.
The recommended treatment interval will vary based on your skin goals. You may benefit from a peel every 1-2 weeks or every 4-6 weeks, depending on your needs. You will receive a personalised treatment plan at your first consultation.
Chemical peels use hydroxy acids at higher concentrations than are available over the counter to exfoliate the skin and stimulate collagen production and remodelling. The acid breaks the chemical bonds which hold the skin cells together, causing them to peel off.
Chemical peels are available as light, medium or deep peels and the depth that the peel penetrates is determined by the solution's strength and the type of acid used.
Light (also called superficial) chemical peels are the mildest of the peels, they remove the outermost layer of the epidermis whereas medium-depth peels are able to penetrate the epidermis and a proportion of the dermis. Deep peels can reach the deep dermal layers of skin however these treatments require significant down-time and are only administered by a doctor with the necessary experience and expertise, in a clinic-based setting.
Light chemical peels are mild enough to be used as part of a monthly skincare regime to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and age spots and can help even out the texture and tone of your skin. A series of light peels can produce similar results to a deeper peel, without the downtime.
CLINICCARE peels are gentler, highly targeted, and ideal for specific concerns with minimal post-treatment changes.
BioRePeel goes a little deeper, works on multiple concerns at once, and adds active nutrients to support skin health alongside exfoliation.
Both are fantastic treatments which provide proven results and amazing benefits for your skin.
