Professional Microneedling in Cambridge

Professional collagen induction therapy with Dr Pen A20 and INNOAESTHETICS serums

At Prestige Skin in Cambridge, we use the Dr Pen A20 - a CE-marked and FDA-approved professional-grade microneedling device - paired with targeted INNOAESTHETICS TDS serums. This clinically proven treatment creates controlled micro-channels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, improve absorption of active serums, and trigger natural healing for smoother, firmer, healthier skin with minimal downtime.

You're ready to smooth, brighten and renew your skin...

Over time, skin can lose elasticity, scars can linger, and pores may become more noticeable - leaving you feeling less confident in your complexion.

If you’ve ever thought:

“My acne scars just won’t fade, no matter what I try”

“I wish my pores looked smaller and my skin smoother”

“I want to tackle fine lines before they get deeper”

…then microneedling could be the solution.

What Microneedling Treats

- Fine lines and wrinkles

- Acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks

- Enlarged pores

How it works

Microneedling uses ultra-fine sterile needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, prompting collagen and elastin production. With up to 107,800 microchannels per minute, the Dr Pen A20 delivers consistent professional results.

A targeted serum from INNO-AESTHETICS is applied to the skin just before microneedling to deliver a potent blend of active ingredients and allow for an enhanced and more targeted treatment. Dermalux LED light therapy concludes the treatment to improve outcomes and speed up recovery.

The skin naturally repairs itself, becoming firmer, smoother, and more even in tone and texture. It's one of our favourite treatments here at Prestige Skin for a good reason - time and time again, the results are outstanding, with skin looking fresher within days, and collagen renewal continuing for months.

A course of 4–6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart is recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I treat my body or scalp?

Yes - treatments can be performed on the face, body and scalp.

How frequently should I have microneedling for best results?

Depending on your goals a course of 4-6 sessions spaced every 4 weeks is usually recommended. A top-up session can then be booked every 6 months to help maintain results. Alternatively some people prefer to have a course of treatments every year which is also a fantastic way to maintain a healthy skin barrier.

Does microneedling hurt?

Everyone is different however most people tolerate microneedling well and don't require any pain releif. If you would like to, you can apply numbing cream 30 minutes before your treatment to minimise discomfort.

When will my skin stop looking so red?

Mild to moderate redness is completely normal after microneedling. It’s caused by increased blood flow and your skin’s natural healing response. Most clients find the redness fades within 24–48 hours, similar to a light sunburn. For some, especially after deeper treatments, it may take up to 3 days. You can apply mineral-based SPF like the CLINICCARE SPF30 or CLINICCARE Dermo-corrective SPF50 if you prefer a some light coverage. A gentle, hydrating moisturiser will also support recovery. The CLINICCARE liquid moisturiser feels fantastic spritzed onto the skin and is perfectly paired with Cebelia's Extreme Care cream. Avoid makeup, hot showers, and exercise for the first 24 hours to minimise irritation and speed up healing.

Do I need to bleed for microneedling to be effective?

No - bleeding is not required for microneedling to work. Microneedling is designed to create controlled microchannels in the skin, mainly within the epidermis (the outer layer) and, when needed, reaching into the superficial dermis (just below the surface). This is enough to trigger your skin’s natural wound-healing response, which stimulates collagen and elastin production and allows active serums to penetrate more effectively.

When bleeding occurs, it simply indicates that the needles have reached the dermal blood vessels - but this level of trauma isn’t necessary for anti-ageing or skin rejuvenation results. In fact, excessive bleeding can increase irritation without improving outcomes. At Prestige Skin, I always select the correct depth based on your skin goals and treatment area, ensuring safe, effective results without unnecessary damage.

When will I see results?

Within a week skin looks smoother and brighter, with long-term improvements in 4–12 weeks as collagen remodels and structural changes take place within the skin.
