If you’ve noticed a change in size, colour, shape, or a lesion that won’t heal, it’s natural to feel anxious. Our service helps you:
- Get specialist eyes on your skin quickly
- Receive clear guidance on whether action is needed
- Avoid long waits for initial advice
- Gain peace of mind or an early referral if appropriate
Important: If a mole/lesion is bleeding, rapidly changing, or you feel unwell, please seek urgent medical care (e.g. 111/GP/A&E).
MapMyMole connects clinics with UK consultant dermatologists for remote dermoscopic assessment. In clinic, we use a dermatoscope to take close-up images and clinical notes. These are encrypted and sent to a consultant dermatologist, who returns a written clinical opinion (a working diagnosis with advice) usually within 24 hours.
In-clinic dermoscopy for detailed visualisation
Secure digital transfer and data protection
Consultant dermatologist report with recommended next steps
Clear signposting if urgent referral is indicated
This is a screening/assessment service and does not replace a face-to-face NHS or private dermatology appointment where that is advised.
Nurse-led care in a calm, private setting
Medical-grade dermatoscopy for high-quality images
Fast turnaround - typically within 24 hours
Clear, written guidance you can share with your GP
Straightforward pricing:
Image and report for 1 mole £65
Image and report for each additional mole screened on the same day £20 per mole.
Is this treatment right for you?
Great if you want to:
- Check a new or changing mole/lesion quickly
- Get specialist reassurance or clear next steps
- Document and monitor lesions over time
Not suitable if you:
- Have a medical emergency (bleeding/rapidly changing lesion + systemic symptoms)
- Need biopsy/treatment on the day (this is an assessment/reporting service)
- Cannot give informed consent to image and share data for clinical review

We take dermatoscopic images, note history (when it appeared/changed, symptoms), and obtain consent.
2. Dermatology Review
Images and notes are securely sent to a UK Consultant Dermatologist.
3. Your Report
You receive a written report (typically within 24 hours) explaining the findings and any recommended action.
Ready to get started?
At Prestige Skin we capture an image of the moles on your face or body using a dermascope. The images are then sent for review with a UK Consultant Dermatologist and you will receive a report within 24 hours.
Costs:
Image and report for 1 mole £65
Image and report for each additional mole screened on the same day £20 per mole.
A consultant dermatologist’s written opinion (working diagnosis) with advice on monitoring, routine GP follow-up, or urgent referral if needed.
It’s a specialist clinical assessment based on dermoscopic images. If the lesion is suspicious, the report will advise an in-person review/biopsy pathway.
Turnaround is usually within 24 hours of image capture. We’ll notify you as soon as it’s back.
You’ll receive the report to share with your GP. With your permission, we can also forward it.
Before: Arrive with clean skin (no makeup/self-tan over the mole). Bring any relevant history notes or previous photos.
Yes. Images and notes are encrypted and shared via secure clinical systems. We follow UK data protection guidance.
