Radio Frequency Skin Treatments in Cambridge

Advanced solutions for ageing, scarring, and skin laxity - with results that go deeper than skincare ever could

You deserve skin that feels like you again - smooth, lifted, confident. At Prestige Skin, we use the Derma Group RF Pro Device (yes, it’s CE-marked and FDA-cleared) to combine microneedling with radiofrequency energy - meaning we’re working deeper in the skin to boost collagen and tighten where you actually feel it. This treatment isn’t just resurfacing for the sake of it. It’s powerful, purposeful rejuvenation. We pair it with INNOAESTHETICS TDS serums chosen for your skin, then finish with Dermalux LED light therapy for that extra post-facial glow. The results? Firm, radiant skin that feels fresh - not fake.

Rebuild your skin's foundations, not just the surface

For when serums aren’t cutting it, and you’re ready for real change

Loose skin, stubborn scars, that “I just look... tired” feeling - they’re not always something your skincare routine can fix.

If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking:

“My skin feels looser than it used to, and no serum is cutting it.”

“I wish I could soften deep lines or fade those old acne scars.”

“My jawline’s disappeared and my cheeks feel flat — where did my definition go?”

Then RF microneedling might be exactly what your skin’s been asking for.

This isn’t just a glow-up treatment. It’s designed to stimulate the deeper layers of your skin - where real collagen production happens - so you can get back that lifted, firmer, more confident version of you.

Why choose RF Microneedling?

A powerful treatment that works deeper than traditional microneedling - with minimal downtime

If you’re looking for real, noticeable change - without going under the knife - RF Microneedling is one of the most effective ways to firm, smooth, and rejuvenate your skin from the inside out.

Unlike standard microneedling, this treatment pairs tiny micro-channels with targeted radiofrequency energy - reaching deep into the layers where collagen and elastin are actually made. Translation? You get tighter skin, fewer lines, and smoother texture…faster.

We use the Derma RF PRO - a gold-standard device that treats multiple skin depths in a single pass. That means less discomfort, minimal downtime, and visible results that build with every session.

No fluff. Just clinical-level results wrapped in real care.

Is RF Microneedling right for you?

Here’s who it’s best for - and who should wait

This treatment could be a brilliant fit if you're looking to:

- Firm skin that's starting to feel a little less 'held' than it used to

- Smooth out acne scars, fine lines, or deeper wrinkles

- Get real, long-lasting skin remodelling - not just a surface-level glow

But it’s not the one for you just yet if you:

- Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding

- Have active acne, an infection, or a history of keloid scarring

- Are on blood-thinning medication

Not sure if you’re suitable? Just ask. I’ll always give you honest advice - even if it means pointing you to a different option. That’s what expert care should feel like.

Super Simple 3 Step Process

So you know exactly what to expect, with zero guesswork

1. Consultation

We’ll chat through your skin goals, review any concerns, and make sure RF Microneedling is the right fit for you.

2. Treatment

After applying numbing cream (we’re all about comfort), we carry out your RF Microneedling session using targeted INNO TDS serums to supercharge results.

3. Post Treatment Care

You’ll finish with a calming Dermalux LED session in-clinic, and we’ll send you home with a soothing mask and cool pack to keep skin happy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does RF Microneedling hurt?

Let’s be honest, RF Microneedling isn’t the most relaxing treatment on the menu, but it’s totally manageable (and worth it for the results). You’ll be given a strong topical numbing cream to apply before your appointment to make things as comfortable as possible.

Afterwards, you’ll leave with a sterile CLINICCARE mask to support healing, plus a cool pack to use at home. If you’d like to take paracetamol beforehand, that’s absolutely fine - some clients find it helps take the edge off.

Can I target specific areas of my face?

While I always recommend treating the full face for the best overall results, your treatment will still be tailored to focus on the areas that need a little extra love.

Common target zones include crow’s feet, jowls, jawline, neck and décolletage, enlarged pores, and scarring - but we’ll review everything together in your consultation so you feel confident we’re focusing on your priorities.

Can I treat areas of my body?

Absolutely. RF Microneedling isn’t just for the face - it can also be used on areas like the hands, arms, abdomen, and even the knees to help tighten skin, smooth texture, and improve tone. If there’s a specific area that’s bothering you, we can chat about the best way to treat it during your consultation.

What are the side effects of RF Microneedling?

The most common side effects are mild redness and a little swelling straight after treatment - a bit like a sun-kissed glow (minus the damage). This usually fades within a couple of days.

Some people also notice light dryness or flaking in the days after, which is just your skin doing its thing: healing, regenerating, and revealing fresh, smoother skin underneath.

How long until I can expect to see the results of my treatment?

Some clients notice a difference almost straight away - a post-treatment glow, tighter skin, smaller-looking pores. But the real magic happens over time.

In the days after your RF Microneedling session, your skin may look brighter and feel a little firmer. Then, over the next few weeks, collagen production kicks in - smoothing fine lines, boosting elasticity, and giving you that “can’t-put-my-finger-on-it but I look good” kind of glow.

Think of it as a natural collagen boost that keeps on working - like a mini facelift, minus the drama.

How can I prepare for my treatment?

1. Press pause on active skincare
About 5–7 days before your appointment, stop using ingredients that can make your skin more sensitive:

- Retinol or prescription retinoids

- Acids like glycolic, salicylic, or lactic (AHAs/BHAs)

- Vitamin C (especially if you’re prone to irritation)

2. Avoid the sun (and the sunbeds)
Try to steer clear of direct sun and tanning beds for 1–2 weeks before your treatment. Sunburned or tanned skin = more risk of irritation.

3. Skip anything that thins the blood
For 3–5 days beforehand, avoid:

Aspirin and ibuprofen (unless prescribed)

Omega-3s, fish oil, and vitamin E

Alcohol (within 24–48 hours of your appointment)

These can increase the chance of bruising - and nobody wants that.

4. Hydration is your best friend
Keep your skin hydrated in the days leading up to your treatment - inside and out. Drink plenty of water, and stick to gentle, nourishing skincare.

5. Arrive fresh-faced
On the day of your treatment, come with clean, makeup-free skin so we can get straight to work.

6. Plan for a little downtime
You might look a little pink and puffy for 24–48 hours afterwards - totally normal. Expect some dryness or light flaking as your skin heals over the following days. This is your collagen boost doing its thing.

Are there any health conditions which aren't suitable for RF Microneedling?

RF Microneedling is a brilliant treatment for skin rejuvenation - but, like all advanced procedures, it’s not right for everyone.

If any of the following apply to you, it doesn’t mean you’re ruled out forever - but it’s important we chat before booking so I can give you the best (and safest) advice for your skin.

RF Microneedling may not be suitable if you have:

Active acne or skin infections – treatment can spread bacteria and worsen inflammation

Severe rosacea, eczema, or psoriasis – may trigger flare-ups or irritation

A tendency to form keloid or hypertrophic scars – risk of over-healing

Pregnancy or are breastfeeding – not enough safety data yet

Recent sunburn or heavy tanning – increased risk of pigmentation issues

Open wounds, cuts, or irritation in the treatment area – skin needs to be fully healed

A history of bleeding disorders or are taking blood thinners – can increase bruising and complications

Used Accutane (isotretinoin) in the last 6 months – skin needs recovery time

Pacemakers, metal implants, or defibrillators – RF energy can interfere with certain devices

Severe autoimmune conditions or immunosuppressive treatment – may affect healing

A history of skin cancer – we’ll need medical approval before proceeding

Which RF Machine do you use?

At Prestige Skin, I use the Derma RF PRO - a medical-grade device designed to treat multiple skin layers in a single pass.

This clever bit of kit delivers radio frequency energy at precise depths, helping to stimulate collagen, tighten skin, and resurface texture - all at once. Because it targets everything in one go, there’s no need to go over the same area repeatedly. Translation? You get a more comfortable treatment, less irritation, and visible results that last.

Powerful, efficient, and backed by clinical tech - so you can feel confident you’re getting the very best for your skin.
